Hi, I’m Ashlee

What started with picnics has grown into something much bigger.

I’m Ashlee, the owner and creative behind Ember & Oak. I’m a city girl turned country, now living on a cattle ranch just outside Kamloops, and I’ve always loved creating spaces that make people want to slow down, connect and enjoy the moment they’re in.

Ember & Oak originally began with styled picnics. I loved taking an ordinary date, birthday or afternoon together and turning it into something that felt thoughtful and special — choosing the colours, layering the table, adding florals and creating all of those little details that make a setting feel complete.

As the business grew, so did the celebrations people trusted me with. Picnics naturally led into bridal showers, baby showers, bachelorettes, birthdays and proposals, and I realized what I loved most wasn’t simply setting up a beautiful picnic. It was taking someone’s idea and bringing the whole experience to life.

That’s where Ember & Oak is heading now. I’m expanding into larger events, including weddings, corporate gatherings and private celebrations, while keeping the same thoughtful, personal approach the business was built on from the beginning.

Whether I’m styling an intimate table for two or helping transform a larger space for a room full of people, I want it to feel intentional, warm and completely yours — with the details taken care of so you can actually enjoy the reason everyone is there.
