This round of The First Spark Project is for singles 50+ who are still open to meeting someone new and seeing where a genuine connection might lead.
We're looking for people willing to trade the apps and endless messaging for one thoughtfully planned, face-to-face first date.
No pressure to force a love story. Just an opportunity to meet someone you may never have crossed paths with otherwise.

Applying is free. The $125 per person experience cost is only payable if you are selected for a First Spark match.
What happens next?
We'll take care of the first date.
The selected pair will be invited to a private Ember & Oak experience designed to give them the chance to actually talk, laugh and get to know one another.
Maybe there's chemistry. Maybe there's friendship. Maybe it's simply a really lovely date with someone new.
That's the whole point — we don't know what happens next.
Where it started
It started with one first date.
The First Spark Project began as a collaboration between Ember & Oak and Bosley Lens & Co.: take two singles willing to try something different, create a beautiful first date for them, and give them the space to see what happens.
We brought the first chapter to life together — from thoughtfully reviewing applications and creating the match to planning the date and documenting the experience.
Now First Spark is back for The Second Chapter, created by Ember & Oak × Bosley Lens & Co., with another chance for two people to meet in a way that feels a little more intentional.
